Oxford cross lamb 1st prize at Worcester

At the Christmas fatstock show held at McCartneys’ Worcester mart, Holly Plante & Andrew Amor from Redmarley, Gloucestershire took first prize for a single native butchers’ lamb with a 42kg lamb sired by an Oxford ram out of a Suffolk ewe. The winning lamb had an excellent backend. The consignment of Oxford cross lambs from Plante & Amor sold to 280p per kg.
